Travelling to Denmark with firearms
If you live within the EU, the preferable method is obtaining a European Firearms Passport from your local police. With this and an personal invitation, which we will supply, you won't need to obtain any additional permits to enter Denmark with your firearm.
If you wish to attend the match from outside the EU, please contact the match organizers, and we'll help you get the needed permits. When travelling to the EU, you may wish to avoid transit in the United Kingdom and the Netherlands as it may require additional permits.
Storage and transport of firearms and knives
While in Denmark, you'll need to store your firearm safely under lock and key, when you're not keeping a watchful eye on it.
When travelling with your firearm, it needs to be in a closed container (e.g. a zipped gunrug or a hard case).
Carrying a knife when going to and from range isn't a problem, but you are now required to "have good cause" when carrying a knife. Knives that are designed to be opened with one hand are now legal in Denmark, however switchblades are illegal
Currency
The currency in Denmark is the Krone (DKK). Some stores may accept Euro notes. Credit cards are accepted in most stores. Credit cards are not accepted at the range, please bring cash (kroner or Euro notes).
